These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between the parent or legal guardian ("You", "Your", or "Parent") registering on behalf of a student ("Student" or "Child"), and LearnAxy Midasnit Private Limited, a subsidiary of Gigipo Esprit Private Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office at 9/11, Duraisamy Street, Virugambakkam, Chennai – 600092, Tamil Nadu, India, operating under the brand name "GuruMode" (hereinafter referred to as "GuruMode", "We", "Us", or "Our").
By downloading, accessing, registering on, or using the GuruMode mobile application, website (gurumode.world), or any related service (collectively, the "Platform"), You agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies incorporated herein by reference. If You do not agree to these Terms, You must not access or use the Platform.
GuruMode is a digital learning platform designed for CBSE Grade 5–6 students to learn Mathematics through adaptive, mission-based interactive experiences. Unlike a marketplace or intermediary, GuruMode is the direct provider of the learning product, content, and technology infrastructure.
The Platform is currently available for use on Android devices. Availability on additional platforms or operating systems, if any, shall be announced separately by GuruMode.
2.1 The Platform is designed for students between the ages of 10 and 12 (CBSE Grade 5–6). The Student uses the Platform on the Parent's or guardian's registered device.
2.2 Registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian using a valid Indian mobile number and OTP verification. By registering, the parent or guardian represents that they are at least 18 years of age and accepts full legal responsibility for all activities conducted under the account, including those of the minor Student.
2.3 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your OTP and account credentials. Any unauthorised access must be immediately reported to support@gurumode.world. GuruMode shall not be liable for losses arising from failure to secure account credentials.
2.4 GuruMode reserves the right to verify your identity and to suspend or terminate access if false, inaccurate, or misleading information is found to have been provided during or after registration.
3.1 GuruMode currently makes the Platform available to registered users on a Standard Access basis, subject to these Terms and any access parameters or usage limits that GuruMode may apply or modify at its discretion from time to time.
3.2 GuruMode reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:
3.3 Where GuruMode introduces a paid tier or materially restricts existing Standard Access features, GuruMode will endeavour to provide reasonable prior notice to registered users via in-app notification or WhatsApp message before such changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform following such notice shall constitute acceptance of the revised access terms.
3.4 Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as a representation or warranty by GuruMode that any feature, content, or level of access currently available will continue to be available at no charge on a permanent basis.
4.1 In the event GuruMode introduces paid subscription plans, the applicable fee, billing frequency, and payment terms will be clearly communicated to users prior to purchase. No charges will be levied without Your prior affirmative consent.
4.2 Payments, when applicable, will be processed through Razorpay or such other authorised payment gateway(s) as GuruMode may designate. All transactions will be subject to the payment provider's terms and applicable taxes under Indian law.
4.3 Where subscription plans with auto-renewal are introduced, You will be notified in advance of each renewal charge and will have the option to cancel auto-renewal from your account dashboard prior to the renewal date.
4.4 Entitlement status under any paid plan will be determined server-side by GuruMode. Client-side display of features does not constitute confirmation of an active paid subscription.
4.5 GuruMode will issue system-generated receipts or invoices for all completed transactions in accordance with applicable Indian tax and invoicing laws.
Refund terms applicable to any paid subscription or feature plan introduced by GuruMode will be published and communicated to users at the time of purchase and will form part of these Terms by reference.
6.1 GuruMode is designed with child safety as a foundational design principle. The following protections are built into the Platform architecture:
6.2 Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use of the Platform and for ensuring that the Student uses only the parent's registered device for Platform access.
6.3 By registering, the parent expressly consents to the collection and processing of the Student's learning interaction data (including mission performance, hint usage, and adaptive signals) for the purposes of personalised learning delivery and platform improvement, as further described in the Privacy Policy.
7.1 You agree to use the Platform solely for lawful, personal, and educational purposes.

8.1 All intellectual property rights in the Platform – including its design, layout, source code, branding, adaptive learning architecture, and content – are owned exclusively by GuruMode or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as a transfer of intellectual property rights to any user.
8.2 Users are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the Platform and its content for private, non-commercial educational purposes only, for the duration of their active account.
8.3 Reproduction, redistribution, modification, or commercial exploitation of any Platform content, in whole or in part, without the prior written authorisation of GuruMode is strictly prohibited and may attract legal action.
8.4 The Platform aligns its content with the CBSE/NCERT curriculum framework. GuruMode does not claim affiliation with, endorsement by, or approval from NCERT, CBSE, or any government body. NCERT textbooks and the NCERT curriculum are the intellectual property of the National Council of Educational Research and Training, a Government of India body.
9.1 GuruMode sends progress updates and notifications to the registered parent's WhatsApp number using Gallabox, a third-party WhatsApp Business API provider. By registering on the Platform, You consent to receiving such communications.
9.2 WhatsApp communications are event-driven and may include:
9.3 GuruMode is committed to responsible communication practices. The total number of commercial or promotional messages sent to any registered parent over the lifetime of the account shall be limited to a reasonable maximum, as determined by GuruMode's internal communication policy in effect from time to time.
9.4 You may opt out of promotional WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP to any such message or by contacting support@gurumode.world. Opting out of promotional messages does not affect genuine learning progress notifications. GuruMode is not responsible for delivery failures caused by Gallabox, Meta Platforms, or your mobile carrier.
GuruMode makes no warranties or representations concerning specific learning outcomes, academic results, examination performance, or skill improvements. Student progress depends on consistent engagement, individual aptitude, effort, and other factors outside the control of GuruMode. The Platform is designed to support and facilitate learning; it does not guarantee results of any kind.
11.1 The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, GuruMode expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11.2 In particular, GuruMode does not warrant that:
11.3 Third-party services, including internet connectivity, Android device performance, Razorpay, and Gallabox (WhatsApp), are outside GuruMode's control. GuruMode is not responsible for disruptions, data loss, or failures caused by third-party providers.
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian law, GuruMode, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to Your use of or inability to use the Platform, regardless of whether GuruMode has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13.1 GuruMode collects, stores, and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms and should be read alongside them.
13.2 By registering and using the Platform, You consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy, including the processing of the Student's learning interaction data for adaptive learning purposes.
14.1 GuruMode reserves the right to suspend or terminate Your account with immediate effect and without prior notice if You: (a) breach any provision of these Terms; (b) engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity on the Platform; or (c) misuse the Platform for commercial or institutional purposes without authorisation.
14.2 Upon termination, access to the Platform will cease immediately. Where fees have been paid, any eligible refund will be processed in accordance with Clause 5 of these Terms, after applicable deductions.
14.3 You may request voluntary account deletion at any time by writing to support@gurumode.world or by visiting gurumode.world/delete-account. Account deletion requests will be processed subject to the settlement of any outstanding obligations and in accordance with the data retention provisions of the Privacy Policy.
GuruMode reserves the right to amend, modify, or replace these Terms at any time, including in connection with the introduction of new features, service tiers, or commercial plans. Where material changes are made, GuruMode will endeavour to notify registered users via in-app notification or WhatsApp message. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any amendment constitutes unconditional acceptance of the revised Terms. Users who do not agree to the revised Terms must discontinue use of the Platform.
16.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
16.2 Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

17.1 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17.2 Waiver: The failure of GuruMode to enforce any right or provision under these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision on any future occasion.
17.3 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies incorporated herein by reference, constitute the entire agreement between You and GuruMode with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior communications, proposals, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.
17.4 Assignment: You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of GuruMode. GuruMode may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
By registering on GuruMode, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
